Code of Ethics For Instructors and Online Students

Code of Ethics for Instructors State and Explain objectives and clear directions: Attendance policies Grading assignments Projects Rubrics Deadlines Rights to privacy Student behavior Rules
Model & Samples Always model great behavior and conduct within the course The instructor is always a mentor Always show samples of work from previous students or teacher made samples It is very important for students to have a guide to avoid frustration and confusion
Conducive Environment Welcome all students and help them feel comfortable by using intro- ductory activities Demonstrate sensitivity to all cultural  differences, opinions and personalities Present credentials
Always Keep it  Current Projects Creativity Rewards Technology Course content needs to go along with the intellectual property rights and fair use procedures Update constantly in all these categories
Code of Ethics for Online Students Respect Discuss Interact Discipline Organization Responsibility Present Credit
Respect & Discuss Respect other students’ and teachers’ opinions, ideas and privacy Discuss course content and course work with students and teachers to get feedback and ideas
Interact Interact with other students and the instructor to help build a positive learning environment Build online relationships to help with feedback and comprehension Discipline Self reflect on work  Make sure enough time is set aside to do coursework and in a timely manner Organize All work should be organized to ensure legible and good quality work
Responsibility Be responsible enough to: Report any bullying Technology problems Ask for clarification Implement the correct learning tools Present Present your ideas and coursework with clarity and class Credit Give credit where credit is due Do NOT claim someone else’s work as your own Site all references and resources
